NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. HAWKE CUP CONTEST. [liy TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHIUSTCHURCH. Friday. At llio general meeting of delegates of the Now Zealand Cricket Council to-night officers elected were Patron, the Gover-nor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson; prcsi. dent, Sir Francis Bell; treasurer, Mr. Vy. 11. Winsor; secretary, Mr. J. Poako; auditor, Mr. A. E. Burn; committee. Messrs. E. B. Cay gill, A. T. Donnelly, H. M. Tavlor.J. Rainsden and P. Dalrymple. The meeting discussed the proposed change in the form of competition for the Hawke Cu|>. The council finally decided that the competition he left as it is for tho present. It was decided to write to Lord Hawke and ask his permission to change the form of competition if at any time tho council might wish to do so. A motion expressing appreciation of the work done for cricket by Mr. Dan Reese and Mr. J. S. Barrett was carried. It was proposed to make both life members, but at their wish the matter was held over. A tribute was also paid to the retiring president, Mr. F. Arkwright.
THE PUKEKOIIE CLUB. [«Y TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] L'UKEKOITE, Friday. The annual meeting of the Pukekoho Cricket Club was held this week, Air. A. V Fox presiding. The report and balance-sheet for the year showed a satisfactory position. The following officers were elected: — Prosidont, Mr. J Roulston; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. J. Routly, R. F. Wilkinson, 11. J. Summer, C. Iv. Lawrie, F. Perkins and J. McWhirter; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Lawrie, jun.; management committee, Messrs. A. M. Rose, R. J. Drake, J Hall and C. Lawrie; selectors, Messrs Fox and 11. Ploydell. Appreciation ot Mr. Bonner's services to tho club as secretary during the past, four years was recorded
KOPUARAHI CLUB OFFICERS.

The annual meeting of the Kopuarahi Cricket Club was held last evening. Officers were elected as follows: —President, Mr., D O'Carroll; secretary, Mr. E. Gill; captain, Mr Russell Green; vice-captain, Mr. J. C. Miller; selector, Mr. ,1. C. Miller: delegates, Messrs Russell Green and T McKay; auditor, Mr. W. E. Hale; umpire, Mr. C. Lawrence; scorer, Air. G. Miller; groundsman, Mr T. O'Carroll. The delegates were instructed to request the Hauraki Plains Cricket Association to adopt two-day matches for the inter-club competitions.
