The Allen Cup was donated some years ago by Mr. J. Allen, then of Matamata, and has given rise to excellent races on every occasion on which it has been rowed for. At tho last regatta it was won outright by the Hamilton Club, and this club's sportsmanlike action in again submitting it for competition is much appreciated. The Cornwell Cup. The' secretary of the Cornwell Cup committee wrote asking if the outside ports would put in a claim to have the competition sailed in their waters. It was decided that further particulars be asked for and an inquiry made whether regatta week would be suitable for the competition.
