FUNERAL OF EX-MAYOR.
LATE.MR. W. E. RICHARDSON. The funeral of the lnte Mr. W. E. Richardson, a former Mayor of Norlheote, was attended by a largo number of friends on Saturday afternoon. Among thdso present were the Mayor of Northcote, Mr. A. E. Greenslade, who also represented tho Waitemata Powor Board; tho town clerk, Mr. H. W. Wilson, and tho members of the Nortlicoto Borough Council and staff. Many former members of tho Borough Council, representatives of the Presbyterian Church and of local bodies and organisations with which the late Mr. Richardson had been associated. Four ox-mayors, Messrs. Herbert Cadness, George Fraser, J. B. Tonar and C. A. Deuxberrv. acted as pall-bearers. The Rev. T. Hallida.v officiated at the services at the residence at Northcote and at tho graveside at the Birkenhead cemetery.
