LATE MR. WILSON SMITH.
The funeral of the late Mr. Frank Wilson Smith, of Remuera, took place at Waikaraka Cemetery yesterday. Tho Rev. W. E. Gillam officiated at the graveside and tho Masonic burial service* was read by Mr. Oliver Nicholson, provincial grand master. There was a large attendance, including many representing tho various institutions with which Mr. Wilson Smith had been connected. . These included representatives of the legal profession and tho Auckland Law Society, of which Mr. Wilson Suiitli was at one time treasurer, and of the Masonic bodies, of which he was an active member, being a past master of Lodge Maungawhau, No. 168, a member of Lodge Ara, No. 1, and a life member of the Auckland Masonic Instituto and Club. The Auckland Co-operative Terminating Building Society, of which Mr. 1 Wilson Smith was one of the founders, was represented by tho chairman, Mr. N. B Spencer, and secretary, Mr. J. Grierson. Many sports bodies were a'so Represented, Mr. Wilson Smith in his youth taking a prominent part in cricket, Rugby football and lawn tennis in South Canterbury, and latterly ho was a member of the Remuera Bowling Club.
