HOTEL CHANGES LOCATION.

TRANSFER OF THE LICENCE. The British Hotel, iri Queen Street, which is being demolished to make room for tho Auckland Electric-Power Board's new building, will have its new home temporarily in Princes Street. The premises below the Grand Hotel, known as Grandvue, will be the new British Hotel, permission for the transfer of Mr. W. 11. Overton's licence being given at the annual meeting of tho Auckland Licensing Committee yesterday. It was stated at the meeting that the new premises would be only a temporary resting place for the hotel licence. Plans for a commodious hotel, : on the most modern lines, would be brought forward, probably at the next quarterly meeting of the committee.
