DOGS AS MOTORISTS.

" SHOULD HAVE GOGGLES." An objection to the carrying of dogs on motor-car running boards was placed before the council of the Auckland Automobile Association last evening by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals The society expressed a -fear that the animals suffered from the cold and were likely to bo injured if thrown off when bends were negotiated. It was suggested that the Automobile Association might use its influence on dog fancying motorists. "The dogs should have goggles," remarked Mr. G. Henning, and the letter was formally received without further expression of opinion.
