MILLHANDS' CLOSE CALL.
TRUCK FALLS FROM BRIDGE MEN ESCAPE LIGHTLY. [BX TSLEGKAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAIHAPE, Sunday. When Mr. W. McGregor and a com* panion were crossing a bridge on a truck loaded with logs the under-carriage broke. The truck left the bridge and fell abctft 200 ft. into a gully. Both men managed to jump off the truck as it was leavihg the bridge and escaped with minor abrasions and, shock. Tho tnj.ck was damaged beyond repair. The accident occurred near the Otaihape sawmill, at which McGregor and his companion are employed.
