MAN ELECTROCUTED.
CONTACT WITH LSVE WIRE. FATE OF MARRIED WORKER. SEVERE BURNS TO BODY. [BX TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE PTJKE. Sunday. A workman employed on ■ electrical wiring, Mr. James Benjamin Marshall, was electrocuted yesterday morning while working at Pongakawa. Seven workmen were engaged with deceased wiring a connection to a shed at a flaxmill. Mr. Marshall went to the top of a pole, the wires on which were charged with 11,000 volts, and he came into contact with a wire and was killed. The body was badly burned and remained fastened to a liv 6 wire. The late Mr. Marshall had been employed by the Power Board for several years, and had been a well-known, resident of the Paer.garoa and Pongakawa district for the pasi 35 years. He was 53 years of age, married, and had four children. His widow is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. B. Wilkins, a former well-known Pongakawa family. At an inquest formal evidence of identification was given and the inquiry was adjourned until April 16.
