■' t MISS MILLER'S NEW RECORD. [Br TELEGRAPH- —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Sunday. At the Easter swimming carnival last evening three Olympio representatives, Miss Kathleen Miller, D. P. Lindsay and L. J. Moorhouse, were present. Moorhouse attempted to lower his 100 metres backstroke record of lm 21 2-ss, but failed, his time being lm 22 2-ss. Miss Miller swam 880 yds. in 13m 54 3-ss. easily beating the existing record of 14m 28 2-5s held by M.iss V. Walrond (Auckland). Misa Miller finished strongly.
