SPORT AT WHANGAROA.

HAMILTON ANGLER'S GREAT DAY.

Deep-sea fishing at Whangaroa yesterday was' continued with good success. Mr. Stanley Ellis, of Hamilton, fishing from the launch Reelemin had an exceptionally good day, landing two swordfish weighing 2491b."and 2191b. respec. lively and a' mako shark of 2401b. This catch is the best for one day with one rod at Whangaroa this season. Mr. Ellis had the misfortune to lose a large hammerhead shark estimated to weigh over 5001b.

Mr. J. Rees Georgo, of Auckland, landed a mako shark weighing 2591b. He lost a swordfish after playing it for over an hour.
