LORRY DRIVER IN DANGER.

ACCIDENT AT BRIDGE. FALL OVER BANK INTO STREAM. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAIHAPE, Monday. When Mr. Cecil Anderson, farmer, of Bennett's Siding, was driving a lorry down a steep incline on to a bridge the front axle broke and the lorry crashed into *.hc bridge. Mr. Anderson jumped clear, but fell over a 12ft. embankment into a stream. His left thigh was badly injured. Had it not been for the strength of the protecting railings, in which the back wheels caught, the lorry would have crashed into the stream on top of the driver. Mr. Anderson is suffering from shock.
