"SANTA CLAUS SLEIGH."

CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN. AN APPEAL TO^ 0 ® CHILDREN. The Herald's third Santa Claus Sleigh campaign on behalf of the sick and poor children under the care of the St. John Ambulance district nurses is being launched to-day. The campaign, which is again being organised by Miss Elsie K. Morton in conjunction with the St. John nurses, is essentially an appeal to children for children, although generous assistance is given each year by parents and friends. Last year over 2(300 toys and £SO in cash donations were received for the Santa Claus Sleigh and Christmas Cheer Fund, and in view of the widespread distress caused by so long a' period of unemployment, it is hoped that this excellent record will bo maintained, or even exceeded, this year. Parcels and donations may now be forwarded to Miss Elsie Morton, St. John Ambulance, Rutland Street, Auckland. Full details of the appeal arc published in "Boys and Girls" to-day.
