DRAY AS A HEARSE.

DRAWN BY FAVOURITE HORSE

OLD PIONEER'S FUNERAL

Borne to his Inst resting place on a dray drawn by his favourite draught horse, Mr. John Boyle, of Gloncoe, near- Collie, an old New South Wales western pioneer, was interred recently on his own property. Deceased, who was 74 years of age, selected the site for his grave, close to where he had lived for 36 years. It was in accordance with his wish that his horse and dray played a prominent part in his funeral. Mr. Boyle went to the district when 15 years of age. At one time he drove the horse mail between Collie and Quambone, when bushrangers were terrorising the settlers.
