MAGISTRATE'S CRITICISM. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. "Any person in possession of a gun who is so ignorant of his responsibilities that he would use his weapon to shoot pro '.ected birds in a proclaimed sanctuary, is no sport, and should not have a gun," said the magistrate, Mr. Tate, in the f'olice Court, when fining William Allan Smith £7 10s on each of two charges re lating to the shooting of a pukeko in the Rotokare sanctuary.
