FURTHER SPLIT IN PARTY.
OPPONENT FOR MR. LANG. (Received' August 31, 9.10 p.m.) A/ and N.Z. ' SYDNEY, Aug. 31. The executive of the Australian Labour Party < has decided to expel Messrs. T. D. Mutch. G. Cann, and 11. V. Evatt, former Ministers, and Mr. C. H. Murphy from the Labour Party for their decision to oppose the endorsed Labour candidates at the forthcoming general election. Mr. P. J- Minahan, formerly a prominent Labour member, says he has left the party which is now controlled by Communists, and that he will oppose the Premier, Mr. Lang, for tho lattci s seat (Auburn) at the election.
