MOUNT ALBERT SCHOOL

CLASSROOMS ENLARGED. The Mount Albert District School Committee met last week, the chairman, Mr. B Brigham, presiding. The chairman reported that in. response to repeated application to the Education Department several classrooms had been remodelled and enlarged, thus giving greater facilities for teaching the children. These rooms were all heated during the winter. Arrangements had been made for the supply of hot cocoa to the children during lunch time in winter. Arrangements were in hand whereby the lower playing area would be asphalted during the coming summer, thus ensur ing a clean, dry playground for the in fants The enthusiasm of the pupils in con nect.ion with the garden and school grounds generally, under the supervision of Mr. Cany one of the teachers, was the subject of commendation by the commit tee. /
