FIRE BRIGADE SOCIAL.
FUNCTION AT ONEHUNGA. The annual social of the Onehunga Fire Brigade was held on Saturday evening, Mr. W C. Coldicutt, Mayor of Onehunga, presiding. Every fire brigade in Auckland was represented, among those present being Superintendent Garratt, of Thames, president of the United Fire Brigades Association; Captain Watts, of Newmarket-, secretary to the association, and Superintendent Wilson, ot the Auc-k land Fire Brigade. Their addresses were received with marked attention A feature of the evening was the presentation of 25-years gold medals to three veterans of the brigade, ex-Captain Walter Hill, Treasurer C. A. Osborne, and Fireman Prior. An enjoyable musical programme was given, including items by the Onehunga Fire Brigade orchestra.
