MEDAL COMPETITION PLAYED. A medal match was played by the Auckland CJoIf Club at the Middlcmoro links on Saturday afternoon. Trophies were awarded for the best net scores in A and B grades. The course, after the recent rains, was on the heavy side, but conditions generally wero good, and some excellent cards were returned. The best cards were as follows :—A grade: H. A. In the afternoon an npproacning and putting competition for all playeis will be held. VVAITEMATA CLUB. The Waitemata Golf Club held a four-ball best-ball competition on Saturday afternoon. Saturday Tho official opening of the Pukekohe Golf Club was held this afternoon, in conjunction with the opening of the club's new links. The weather was ideal and there was an attendance of 150. including a number of visitors. I Dr. A. T. Begg. vice-president oi the club, welcomed the visitors and declared the iinks open for play.
