LARGE AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC. 600,000 CALLS EVERY DAY. Australian anrl N.Z. Cablo Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 26. An official return shows that the people of Sydney make 600,000' telephone calls a day. In the busiest period of the day there are, on an average, 9500 conversations conducted simultaneously.
