RACING STABLE BURNED. HOTEL WINDOWS CRACKED. LOSS OF A MOTOR-CAR. [by telegraph.—OWN correspondent. 1 CHEISTCHURCH. Tuesday. A racing stable adjoining the Belfast Hotel and owned by Mr. K. H. Smith was destroyed by fire last night. A - seater motor-car and a motor-cycle were completely destroyed, also a quantity of harness and feed. Luckily the wind was not from the south-west and the hotel was not damaged beyond a few windows being cracked by the intense heat. The stable was insured for £4OO with the Royal Insurance Company. The car and cycle ware also insured.
