MOTOR-BUS CONTROL.
THE CITY COUNCIL'S PLANS. LICENSING ARRANGEMENTS. Thn Auckland City Council has received official notification that it has been appointed the licensing authority for Number 1 District in terms of the Motor Omnibus Traffic Act, 1926, and at the meeting last evening a committee was appointed to deal with matters referred to it by the council and to report to the council on applications received for licences and cognate matters. The special committee of the council, comprising the Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, the chairmen of the standing committees of the council and Mr. T. Bloodworth, which had considered various matters in connection with the control of motorbus traffic, recommended that the council should call public attention to' tho provisions of the Act and intimate that ap-plication-forms for authority to establish motor-omnibus services would be available at the Town Hall. . The recommendation was adopted and the Mayor and Messrs. T. Bioodworth, J. Dempsey, A. J. Entrican, J. \V. Court, C. F. Bennett and J. Robertson were appointed a committee to be called the Motor Omnibus Licensing Com. mittee.
