The building was beyond the area qf the water supply and the fye brigade could do nothing to combat the. flames.

OUTBREAK AT MOUNT EDEN. V.. • THE DAMAGE NOT SERIOUS. The .Mount. Eden Fire Brigade received a call to tho house pf Mr. W. J. Simpson, 543, Mount. Eden Road, at. eight o'elock on Saturday morning. Some curtains had caught, fire, but, the outbreak was subdued before serious damage was done.
