ALLEGATIONS BY COUNSEL. SUGGESTION OF INFLUENCE. [BY ASSOCIATION. ] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. A serious charge was mad* by a solicitor in the Supreme Court to-day. Mr. Jackson, who was appearing for tho accused in an assault case, alleged that a story which a barmin told in tho witness box had been co-icoctod. Counsel stated that he, had bfr'n informed that four men on the jury had been influenced against accused. The foreman said the jury was hurt at the alleg>tion, and they asked that Mr, Jackson should withdraw. Mr. /ackson: If 1 a,in wrong, I am sorry./
