The action of the Highways Board in calling on tho Woikato County Council to pay half the cost of repairing the portion of the Main South Road between Taupiri and Ngaruawahia, was the subject of discussion by the Rural Counties' Association. It, was pointed out that tho majority of the users of this piece of road were not county ratepayers, but outside motorists, and the opinion was expressed that the road should be mado a main highway, and should bo maintained bv the Highways Board. y
