Mr. H. J. Lousley, of Dunedin, is at the Central Hotel. Mr. D. J. Willis, of Greatford, is at tho Hotel Cargen. Mr. F. L. Pflug, of New York, is at tho Grand Hotel. Colonel J. W. Clark, of Sydney, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. R. Johnson, of Napier, are at tho Royal Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Rose, of Wellington, aro at the Central Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. F. Murray, of Wanganui, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. and Sirs. V. Jobson, of Derby, England, are at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. G. E. Siedle and Mr. A. P. Main, of London, are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. Justice Reed and Mrs. Reed arrived from the South yesterday. They are at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. F. E. Jonas, of Christchurch, Mr. W. E. Jackson, of Wellington, and Mr. W. M. Jacob, of Feilding, are at tho Grand Hotel. Mr. Herbert Greenwood, of Adelaide, a Press Association message states, has been appointed librarian at tho Dunedin Athenaeum. There were 52 applicants. Mr. R. Billings, of Palmerston North, Mr. R. G. Butcher and Mr. B. C. O'Connor, of Wellington, and Mr. J. Garcon and Mr. W. Hyman, of Christchurch, are at the Star Hotel. Mr. IT. J. Hare, of the Notherton Riding on the Hauraki Plains County Council, has decided not to seek re-election to that position. Business and priva.tc reasons have prompted the step, which Mr. Hare has taken reluctantly.
