The following comparative figures showing the financial results of the trading departments of the City Coroporation for tho past two years have been supplied l)Y Mr. AY. B. Tavcrner, chairman of the Finance Committee of tho City Council. Tho figures show a remarkable increase in the profits of the year as compared with 1925. ' , The details are as follows, tlie previutit year in parentheses:—Water, £22,418 (£15,083); gas, £20,038 (£15,659); electric power and > light, £33,494 (£20,887) ;• tramways, £118,288 (£64,183).
