SCHOOL CRICKET MATCH.

THE WILLIAMS SHIELD. PLAY OPENS THIS MORNING. The Auckland Grammar School cricket ,team will defend the Heath cote-Williams Shield against the Christchurch Boys' High School eleven at Eden Park to-day, play commencing at 11 a.m. The match will be played to a conclusion. Both teams have been playing well this season and can be relied upon to provide an interesting game. Messrs. H. Johnston and R. Turton have been appointed umpires. The teams are as follow:

Christchurch Boys' High School. —A. S. Billcliff (captain), C. M. Harris, W. E. Merritt, J. Jacobs, 11. V. Thorne, M. C. Ward, G. Innes, C. Williams, G. Chambers, G. Grose, K. Mortlock. Reserve: G. Stringer. Auckland Grammar School.—A. M. Matheson (captain), F. McCarthy, S. Hay. I. N. Watkin, L\ B. Schnauer, C. H. Atkinson, H. S. Davenport, H. R. Kasper, P. Whitelaw, L. Cashmore, H- S. Chapman. Reserve: M. F. Costello.
