Tho Plunket Shield match between Otago and Wellington was resumed today. Otago required 182 to win and the runs were made for the loss of five wickets. Worker and Shepherd opened the innings, the former being caught in the slips by Hiddicstone, off McGirr, after scoring four. After the addition of a single Shepherd pulled a ball from Briee to leg and Badeock took a fine catch. Two wickets were down for eight. When Galland was 19 lie skied a ball from Badcock, but McGirr, through a misunderstanding. missed a simple catch. Both batsmen were playing carefully against the accurate bowling of McGirr and Badcock. The batsmen kept together until the total was 99, when Galland sent a ball off Henderson to Badcock at third slip, the catch being accepted. Galland's score of 53 included two sixes.

McMullan and A. W. Alloo stayed at the wickets until the luncheon adjournment, when the score was 112. With the score at 123 Henderson clean bowled McMullan, who had played a valuable innings for 38. Blamires filled tho vacancy and put on 16, for which he shaped well, but in trying to pull a straight ball to leg ho got in .front. Cherry partnered Alloo until the runs required were obtained.
