ANTHONY WILDING SHIELD. CAPTURED BY CANTERBURY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. By the narrow margin of 15 set 3 to 14 Canterbury won back the Anthony Wilding Slaield from Auckland on Saturday. Each province won six matches. Canterbury was two matches down, having won two and lost four 011 Friday's play, bat 011 Saturday the local team won three singles and a double. The singles champion Ollivier was beaten by Bartlett, winning two games only in each of two sets, and partnered by Greenwood lost his doubles also. Tho results of Saturday's play were:— Singles.—Ollivier lost to E. L. Bartlett, 2—6,• 2—6; 1). G. France beat W. Griffiths, 7—5, 9—7; I. A. Seay beat L. G. Knott, t>—l, 6—3; D. G. Greenwood beat A. A. Johns, 7—5, 6—o. Doubles.—Ollivier and Greenwood lost to Bartlett and Griffiths, 5—7, 6—2, G—B; Franco and Seay beat Johns and Knott, 4 —6, 6—4, 6—2. Totals.—Canterbury, six matches, 15 sets; Auckland, six matches, 14 sets.
