MISSING KETCH'S FATE.

SAID TO HAVE BEEN SEEN. UPTURNED VESSEL SIGHTED. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Dec. 30. The master of the schooner Holmwood, bound from Wanganui to Newcastle, has reported that he sighted on December 12 an upturned wooden vessel, floating about 100 miles north-west of the north end of the North Island of New Zealand. He states that he believes the vessel to be the missing ketch Lialetta. A marine inquiry regarding the loss of the ketch Lialetta was openad at Holiart on July 8. She had not been seen since she left the Semaphore on April 18, after taking in ship's stores. Captain William Clark, the harbourmaster at Launceston, who had inspected the vessel on February 6, declared that she was well found. In response to a question he said that her sails were not in bad order. Mr. William Knight, owner of the Lialetta, valued the" ketch at £4OOO. She was insured for £IOOO.
