COMPULSORY CONTRIBUTIONS INCREASE IN BENEFITS. Sun. LONDON. Dec. 29. Fifteen million employers and workers will become on January 4 compulsory contributors un t der the Widows, Orphans, and Old Age Contributory Pensions Act, which emanated from the last Budget. The scheme involves a 14 per cent, increase in contributions to the State insurance fund in order to enable the payment of greater benefits.
