DRUSE LEADER KILLED.
ANOTHER CHIEF'S MISHAP. LONG KNIFE UP HIS SLEEVE. Snn> DAMASCUS. Dec. 29. The Druse leader, Hassan Kharrat, has been killed in a suburban skirmish. A motor-car knocked down another chief who was proceeding to an audience with M. do Jouvenol, the French Commissioner. A doctor discovered a long knife concealed in his sleeve. M/de Jouvenel has fixed January 8 as the last day for the surrender of the rebels.
