RETICULATION OF DISTRICT. PROGRESS IN PAST FORTNIGHT. The Waitemata Electric Power Board met yesterday, the chairman, Mr. J. W. Hayden, presiding. The report of the engineers, Messrs. Gauvain and McLeod, stated that the connections to residence"; in New Lynn now numbered 74. The erection of poles on the main 11,000-volt line running north was proceeding. Before continuing to Henderson, the branch 11,000-volt pole line from the cemetery corner to Glen Eden would be constructed On the Titirangi Road an 11,000-volt pole line had been erected and arranged so that extensions in that portion of the district could be carried out when sufficient load was offering. The erection of poles for the low tension line on the Te Atatu Road, Henderson, had been completed, and a gang was busy in Glen Eden. The main line from Kumeu to Henderson had been surveyed and it was proposed to distribute the next consignment of 35ft. poles from the former place. A gang was engaged on the erection of 30ft. poles for low tension reticulation in Takapuna and about five miles of pole line had been completed. Pole erection on the main 11,000-volt line from Taharoto Road, Takapuna, to Northcote and Birkenhead had been advanced as far as the Northcote school. Dressed poles would be used for the continuation of this line, and as these were not yet to hand the gang had been removed to Takapuna, where the erection of the pole line on the Pupuke Road had been commenced. Good stocks of bare copper wire, insulators and pole ironwork were now to hand and would allow of a start being made on the wiring of the main lines early in the new year. It was reported that the only residents of New Lynn who had persisted in their refusal to pay the consumers' deposit were Messrs. C. F. Gardner and R. Wells. It was agreed that in the event of the deposit not being paid in seven days their service would be discontinued.
