BREACH OF PROMISE SUIT. JURY AWARDS SUM OF £2OOO. Australian and JN',%. Cable Association. (Ilecd. 1 l.'J5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 14. Another breach of promise case was heard in Sydney to-day. Mrs. Elaine Myra Henderson, a voting widow, sued Matthew Jefferson Raper, tbe youthful son of wealthy parents, for £SOOO damages. Plaintiff's case was that, under repeated promises of marriage, defendant took advantage of the engagement, to injure her seriously. He then repudiated his miseNo evidence for the defence was called.
