Mrs. Elaine Myra Henderson, a voting widow, sued Matthew Jefferson Raper, tbe youthful son of wealthy parents, for £SOOO damages. Plaintiff's case was that, under repeated promises of marriage, defendant took advantage of the engagement, to injure her seriously. He then repudiated his miseNo evidence for the defence was called.
