1 :; SIR MAUI POMA'RE PRAISED. Tho manner in which Sir Maui Pom are has dealt with hospital administration during his period as Minister, was eulogised by Mr. W. Wallace, who presided on Saturday evening at the gathering of the Auckland Orphans' Club, at which a number of delegates to tho Hospitals Conference and members of the Legislature wore present. Mr. Wallace said that, as president of tho New Zealand Hospital Boards' Association, ho was in a position to state that it was the unanimous Wish of tho Hospital Boards throughout tho Dominion that Sir Maui should continue to occupy tho positions of Minister for Health and Minister in charge of Ho had tho fullest confidence that the important reform.-, foreshadowed in connection with mental hospitals would be given effect to under the guidance of Sir Maui Pomaro. Sir Maui Pomaro said that tho chairman had. emphasised that the club's motto enjoined the setting aside for tho whilo of all thoughts and cares of business —but, then, tho • chairman was a Scotsman! (Laughter,) He would, how-, ever, abandon politics for that occasion, though he, too was a Scotsman--., (laughter)—his name showed ho belonged to the "Murray" clan.
