MR, BOYD'S APPOINTMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON. Saturday. Mr. R. Ht Boyd, who is to take over the duties of chief postmaster at Hamilton on June 1, joined the Post and Telegraph Department in January, 181)0. He was transferred to the Wanganui tt-ie-' graph office as a cadet four years later, and after being stationed there for several years received ah appointment in the money order branch. In April, 1914, he was promoted to tho position of second money order clerk at Wanganui, and in June, 1917, was appointed senior clerk at Hamilton. Two years later lie y,as promoted to postmaster at Morfinsville, and in December, 192,1, was appointed chief postmaster at Thames.
