Investment stocks-were in fair demand on the Auckland sharemarket on Saturday. In Government securities Soldiers' Bonds, which changed hands on Friday at £100 ss, were offered by holders at £101 without response from buyers. New Zealand Inscribed Stock, 1927, eased 5s

on Friday's quotations to £97 5s t buyers not responding. The 1939 issue was quoted bv holders at £97 10s. In banks New Zealands were unchanged at sellers 60s 3d, buyers 59s 6d. New South Wales were unaltered at sellers £41 ss, buyers £40 10s. Nationals were not quoted. In insurance holders of New Zealands firmed 4d to 32s on Friday's quotations, buyers remaining unaffected at 31s 3d. Buyers of South British offered 44s 6d, holdsrs not quoting. In gas there was a sale in Aucklands at 24s 6d, quotations being on a par with Friday's figures, sellers 24s 9d, buyers 24s 4d. In miscellaneous another sale in Sanfords, Ltd., took place at 16s 6d, sellers quoting 17s 3d, buyers 16s 3d, a rise of 3d on Friday's late quotation. In mining Waihis had sale at 26s 6d, the figure demanded by holders, other buyers offering 265. Grand Junctions were quoted sellers 2s Id, buyers Is Bd. Buyers' offers for Moanataiaris increased Id to Is lOd on Friday's quotations, sellers remaining at 2s 3d.
