WAITOMO POWER DISTRICT.
PROGRAMME OF THE BOARD.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] OTOROHANGA, Friday. A meeting of the Waitomo Power Board, held at Te Kuiti, decided to supply power to the Te Kuiti Borough, for the pumping station, between 9.30 p.m. and 4.30 a.m., at £d per unit.
It was agreed to rescind the motion to borrow £90,000 and to raise a loan sufficient to reticulate Te Kuiti borough and Otorohanga township, provide connecting lines, including the change-over at Te Kuiti, and permit the reticulation of only those roads where a revenue of 20 per cent, of the estimated cost is guaranteed. It was further decided to take the security rate over the whole of the inner area. Mr. Phillips reported that substantial results from the canvass' of the district had been secured, and it was left to him and the chairman to interview the dairy factory and dairy farmers.
