MOTOR ROAD RECORDS.
THE PRACTICE CONDEMNED.
ATTITUDE OF ASSOCIATION
The recent attempts to establish Wellington to Auckland motor-racing records were referred to at the meeting of the council of the Auckland Automobile Association last evening. A letter was received from the New Zealand Automobile" Union to the effect that a number of affiliated associations had signified their objection to road-racing. The chairman, Mr. J. A. Warnock, said he considered it advisable for the "Auckland Association to ally itself with the other associations in discouraging further attempts on the record. On the motion of Mr. M. H. Wynyard, seconded by Mr. G. H. Henning, it was resolved that the . association protest against any repetition of the practice.
