TAKAPUNA CENTRAL.

PROGRESSIVE ASSOCIATION. The . formation of a Takapuna. Central Progressive Association was decided upon at a meeting of residents of central Takapuna held in the local Council Chambers on Thursday. Mr. W. Blomfield was voted to the chair. The objects of the association are to advance the interests ofTakapuna generally and the central portion in particular, that is the area from Clifton Road to Minnehaha Avenue around the . Lake to North cote Road. A committee of eight was appointed to bring forward matters of interest to the residents of that locality and report to the general body. Over 40 members were enrolled. -At a subsequent meeting of the committee Mr. W. Blomfield was elected chairman, Mr. White secretary and Mr. Black treasurer.
