FINE HOLIDAY WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN AUCKLAND. The fine weather, which had been experienced at Auckland for some days, continued over the week-end, and conditions were ideal, from a holiday-maker's point of view. There was a light breeze from the north-east most of the time, but it died away at night to a dead calm. The bright sunshine made swimming popular, and large numbers of people visited the near-by beaches. The barometer has shown very little movement during the past week, the readings ranging between 30.00 in. and 30.i5in. From mid-day on Saturday to yesterday afternoon, it was steady at 30.G5in., but. last night it had risen to 30.10 in.
