PERMITS IK AUCKLAND. EXPENDITURE OF £1,440,878. TOTAL OF 611 DWELLINGS. All the details of building construction within the City of Auckland for the financial year ended March 31, 1934, have not yet been enumerated, but the main total of the value of permits issued for the period constitute 3 record for Auckland. The estimated expenditure on buildings, including 611 dwellings, was £1,440,878. This in every way is far in advance of the previous year's record figures. The dwellings then numbered 440, and the value for the total permits issued was £1,180,473.
