AUCKLAND'S BUSY PORT.

ALL BERTHS OCCUPIED. FOUR LARGE VESSELS IN STREAM. The port of Auckland will be busier today than it has been for a long time. All the berths at the wharves will be occupied, and there will be the unusual spectacle tof four large steamers anchored in the stream awaiting berths. The Hain steamer Trevithick arrived last night from Texas, and other vessels arriving ■'■ early this morning are the Kaikonra from New York, the West Nilus from San. Francisco, the Dorset from Napier, and the Makura from Sydney. The West Nilus will berth at the Western Wharf, and the Middlesex will be anchored in the stream to allow the Makura to take the berth at the Queen's .Wharf. This will leave the Kaikoura, Dorset, Trevithicki and Middlesex in the stream. The large number of vessels in port has created a shortage of waterside labour for the time being.
