KAMO TOWN HALL.
LOAN SCHEME REJECTED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANG ARFJ, Friday. A poll was taken yesterday on th« Karoo Town Board's proposal to borrow £5000 for the purpose of buying a site and erecting a new town hall to replace the building destroyed by fire. Opinion on the proposals seems to be very evenly divided, as in a poll of 106 votes, 53 were cast against the proposal and 52 for it, one vote being informal. The proposal was therefore rejected.
