Dr. D. N. W. Murray, who conducted a post-mortem examination, stated that death was due to shock following upon the taking of an irritant poison. Evidence regarding the finding. of small quantities of poison in the bedroom was given by Sergeant Rowell. ;-. The coroner returned a verdict that death was due to shock caused by an irritant poison taken by the deceased with suicidal intentions.
