A FARMERS' BUTCHERY.
SELLING BEEF DIRECT. INNOVATION IN WANGANUI. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WANGAUNI, Thursday. Although a substantial cut has been made in the prices of meat in "Wangarmi another important co-operative company comprising some 'leading farmers of the West Coast intends opening a new butchery next week in order to supply beef direct to the consumers from their farms. The objoct in starting operations is to ensure that the farmer gets a fair price for, his fat stock on the farm. It is not intended to make a profit out of the shop, and run on those lines the meat should be sold at an exceptionally low rate. There will be no delivery carts and only ox beef will be sold
