MYSTERIOUS THEFT.
£17,500 .IN TREASURY NOTES
BOX FROM PARCELS . OFFICE.
Australian' and N.Z. Cable Association - (Reed. 5.10 p.m.) LONDON, April 13. Scotland Yard is engaged investigating a mysterious theft of the new issue of Treasury notes, valued at £17,500, from the Bradford Parcels Office. A bullion box forwarded from London was placed in the railway office on Tuesday and was missed to-day. There are no signs of the office having been broken into, and the theory is that the robbery was carried out by a gang of experts who travelled by the train by which the notes were carried and noticed where they were stored.
