In the afternoon af: bazaar was held, and in the evening the proceedings took the form of a juvenile concert and dance. The receipt* for the day amounted to £80 Is, the expenses V being only £1. The former sum, which carries with it «a- Government subsidy of £80, will enable the committee to complete the improvements to the boys' playground, and , provide equipment for % the primer grounds. Mr. A. Harris, M.P., who opened the bazaar, mentioned that as the result of representations to the Auckland Education Board by Mr. H. S. W. King, the board had called for a report on the question of providing a three-roomed addition to the present school. Mr. Harris was optimistic concerning the securing of a grant to cover the cost of the proposed building.
