Interesting development aro reported in connection with the recent- mdustrial trouble at Pukeuri freezing works. ; When the season 5 opened under the moment of the Waitoiki Farmers' Freezing Company (the new owner of the works), the ; slaughtermen ■. refused to,, work 88 they alleged victimisation. : > :: , . Applications were invited from slaughter* men, unionists and non-uniomste bemg engaged - Dissatisfaction was felt .among men at the continuance of the dieputs and on Saturday ™g*V*nd intend workers formed a new union,and intend applying for registration under the Arbi Son Court. The president of the^ new union is Mr. E. L. Applegarth, v who res£S from tho-old u|ion g as a protest atrainst interference at Pukeuri. . . .
