IDENTITY OF THE VICTIM. DENIAL BY MR. COUGHLAN. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 11.16 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Feb. 14. Mir. John Coughlan. who is supposed 'to be the father of the victim of tfie Yarra murder, now states he is certain the body of the girl found in the river is not that of his daughter. He says he paid the funeral expenses rather than that the victim should have a paupers's funeral. He does not at present know his daughter's whereabouts. Thomas Cook, a farmer and horse trainer, has been arrested in connection with the Yarra River tragedy. He is charged with forging a telegram to Mrs. Coughlan, the victim of the murder.
